Dr. David Kilcullen
Dr Kilcullen has fought in seven counterinsurgency campaigns, and his recently published book "Counterinsurgency" examines the roughly 386 examples of counterinsurgency worldwide since the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815. His presentation entitled "Counterinsurgency: a Large-N Perspective" examined some of the key characteristics of this type of warfare that emerge from that large-N historical perspective, and the key lessons for current and future US-led operations.

LtGen Paul J. Selva
Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Lieutenant General Selva oversees matters requiring close personal control by the Chairman, with particular focus on international relations and politico-military concerns. LtGen Selva accompanies the Secretary of State overseas as her military advisor and periodically travels to Israel as the Middle East Road Map monitor which was the topic of his presentation.

CENSA-DC kicked off the 2010 Dinner-Series on Tuesday, March 30th with "An Evening with General Hayden". Hosted at Gordon Biersch, CENSA-DC members enjoyed an evening of very candid discussion with General Michael Hayden, who led the two largest intelligence agencies in the country during a time of great intelligence reform and demand in our history.
